This was my last Wedding of the year. And after photographing 15 of them this year, I look forward to some time off. And before all of my gear goes in to mothballs, every single piece of equipment must be given a “once over”, so that when I pick up again next year there are no surprises. All of my lenses and camera bodys will be shipped to Canon Professional Services to ensure that my gear is in tip top shape. This break during the Holidays, is one thing that I have over DJ’s. They are busy during the Holidays, and I get to just enjoy this time off.
As for this Wedding, another beautiful couple. These two have been together for awhile, and it is obvious that they are right for each other. I even noticed them finishing each other’s sentences. The Groom had played baseball at ASU, which is where he met his Bride. He went on to play in the Minor Leagues before an injury ended his career. They chose Karl Strauss Brewery for their Wedding for 2 reasons. #1 they give you the ceremony for free when you book them, and #2, they both love beer. The only drawback here, photographically, is that it is late in the year, and with the sun going down so soon, it is hard to create beautiful images. That is not to say that the subjects are not beautiful, but when you do not have sunlight a Photographer becomes very limited as to what they can do. But if you have enough experience you can squeeze out the best images possible.
